Lee Anne is a local artist from the State College area. Her education includes a Bachelors Degree in Art from Penn State University in 1993. During her time at Penn State, Lee Anne took several classes in ceramics which sparked her interest in pottery. After she graduated from Penn State, Lee Anne refined her craft and passion for working with clay while living in Annapolis, Maryland. She is inspired by vivid color and bold design. Some of her work infuses found objects with both functional and sculptural pieces.
"I enjoy the process of pottery making from the conception of an idea to the final kiln reveal. I strive to produce beautiful, functional and unique pots that have a modern feel. Each piece of pottery from Lovely Mud is handmade and original."
Lee Anne has showcased her work in a variety of art shows including the annual Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts. Her work has also been featured in several articles in the news media. Currently, her work is available at several art galleries in the State College area, at Surface Artist Cooperative, and online. |
