Jen Hendrickson began her interior design business in 2006. She received her BFA in Interior Design from the Design Institute of San Diego (DISD). In addition, Jen holds a BS in Hotel & Restaurant Management from Penn State. She worked as a Food & Beverage Manager at the Waldorf=Astoria, NYC & as a Director of Sales for One Washington Circle Hotel, DC.
Jen and her husband, Mike, are both originally from State College. They moved back to the area to be close to family and raise their 2 children. Jen credits her parents, Sue & Rich Tressler, for her love of design and a good project. Her parents restored the Oak Hall Log house & Benjamin Plum's Farm as well as reconstructed an 1870s barn into a hunting lodge. In Jen's family, there was always a project in the works. She is proud to carry on their legacy.
In 2010, Jen joined Surface and started a home decor boutique and design studio. The boutique offers just a small sampling of furniture, lighting, textiles & window treatments that are available for sale or through special order.
